Stepping Aside as NW Handler
October 12, 2016I have stood aside as NW Handler. There is another very special person that I want to take a moment to talk about that has been instrumental in my title year: The dog that owns my leash and my collar, my Big Brother and Dog, Roscoe. They say behind every great dog is an endless supply of cookies and squeaky toys. And while that is true, in my case it is cookies, squeaky toys and one amazing Husky. I have known Roscoe for going on 6 years now. Roscoe is the reason I am the dog I am today. Long before we formed our pack and found the dynamic we have today, he named me and brought to life the dog in me. Over time we tried many D/s dynamics that just did not work for us and then discovered we could have a shared dynamic. We get a lot of head tilts when we tell people we are Two Sir Dogs in a Pack together. “Who is the Alpha? Who is the beta? Who is the Sir?” The answer is Yes. Our dynamic allows us to flex, adapt and grow. It allows us to be exactly what the other needs or wants and at the same time allows us to be equals as brothers. Roscoe is the one person that has full command over my dog headspace. He pushes me to grow and constantly challenges me to be better. I could not have made it through my title year without my dog. He has been there for me every step of the way. When my headspace needed a reset or a recharge, I found it in my dog. We have accomplished a lot together in the community over the last year and had some great adventures along the way. I am so proud of our Pack and what we stand for. Though my title year is over, our work is not done. VAC Pack will continue bridging the gap, removing stigmas, and finding commonality in the communities we love, be it Pup, Fur, Kink, or leather through education and leadership.
Big Brother, Thank you for being my dog, my best friend and for all the other roles you fill within our dynamic. Having you at my side makes me a better dog. I love you Husk Dog.
Also thank you for all the cookies you feed me.
