Review of Leash, Vol 1

Review of Leash, Vol 1

I chose to write about it because it is worth sharing. Pup Silver and Pup Pixel have made an awesome magazine about pup play.

The magazine is simple, black and white images made by the editor, Pup Silver and has nine great articles from a wide spectrum of authors and viewpoints. Sometimes, intentionally or not, authors of opinion pieces can look authoritarian or trying to place a fact with no evidence. I am pleased so say, this isn’t the case with this. The authors shared their opinions and experiences without imposing their values on others. I can see people will read this and come to understand the diversity in our community and learn more about it.

They have found a series of article authors and crafted the publication to not be hidden behind stereotypes assumed in our community and explore the spectrum of diversity, from cats to dog slaves and a whole bunch of topics in between. This can be a great read for newcomers to our community all the way to members who have been around for a while.

Its sold as an ebook and also print form. Pup Silver and Pixel have also decided that profits made from the ebook version will be donated to the Albert Kennedy Trust in the UK. Which I personally feel that this is a great way to show the community that this isn’t just another cash cow project.

As a previously published author I know that a lot of work would have gone through to make this project a reality and whether this was the original goal or not, was an awesome outcome and a fantastic contribution to this community. I am looking forward to reading more from future editions.
